Welcome to the Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club

SYNCHRONIZED SKATING AT KWSC

Synchronized skating, or "synchro", is a specialized discipline of skating involving groups of eight or more skaters performing various group formations and maneuvers. The objective is for the team to perform as one unit executing circles, blocks, lines, wheels and intersections in unison to the music, while demonstrating quality edges, power and flow.

Any CanSkater who has earned their stage 3 badge or above, or any skater registered in the Enrichment or Group STARSkate (Group STAR) program is eligible for our Snowball Synchro program. This program is designed to introduce the fundamental skills of synchronized skating.

More advanced skaters may wish to join one of our synchro teams. We presently have Beginner, Elementary and Juvenile teams. Please contact the KWSC office for more information on the requirements for these teams.
